Over the years a lot of photographers have asked me how I was able to shoot models with aircraft. Telling me that when they enquired about shooting their requests were met with a firm “Sorry, no”. Well, in my case I have been able to build a contact list though my associated work in the UK vintage aircraft industry. Being known and trusted, goes along way in what can sometimes come across as a secretive industry.

So, in 2013, I decided to hold my first open shoot day limited to just 15 places. This sold out immediately and became the template for future events. The shoot days are very informal and friendly affairs. They are open to photographers of all skill levels. The events are held at various airfields in the UK.
